A growing number of cheaters are using invisible ink markings on their playing cards. These inks look normal under regular light but can show up under ultraviolet or black light. This allows them to see the hidden marks on the back of their opponent’s cards. This technique is often used to reveal a winning poker hand or tell the dealer the value of the top card in a shoe.
One of the most popular ways to mark cards is block-out. This involves coloring in small white areas on the cards. It is not flawless to human naked eyes, but it works well in magic performances.
